Doha won the bid to host the 2030 Asian Games.

Qatar is interested in hosting the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) 2023 Asian Cup. Sports body It was announced on Monday.

The Gulf Countries Football Association was one of four federations around the world who were interested in hosting major tournaments in their home countries. The other three organizations include the Football Federation of Australia, the Football Association of Indonesia and the Korea Football Association.

“According to the bidding process, the bidding rules will be distributed to the MA on June 17, 2022, and the deadline for the bidding MA to submit the bidding documents is set to August 31, 2022,” said AFC.

AFC said it would evaluate all bids before selecting and announcing the organizers of the 24 teams of events by the executive committee on October 17.

The Qatar national team won the first AFC Asian Cup in a fierce match against four-time champion Japan in 2019, winning 3-1.

Winning the bid to host the game has been added to Qatar’s extensive portfolio of sports and is only a few months after hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In late 2021, Qatar hosted the FIFA Arab Cup. This is the first edition of a tournament for a global sports organization.

Qatar also 2030 Asian Games After a fierce bidding battle with neighboring Saudi Arabia in late 2020. Riyadh, who finished second in the vote, will host a series of tournaments in 2034.

Doha previously hosted the Asian Games in 2006 and is preparing to host future sporting events. On the post-tournament side of the 2030 Asian Games bids, Qatar will share the expertise to create a thriving sporting phenomenon in the country.
