Two of Zaha Hadid’s Final designs to be built in Qatar’s Lusail City
Plans to build two new buildings designed by the late Zaha Hadid in Lusail City will be moving forward, a Qatar-based company has announced.
The structures were among the world-famous architect’s final designs, which she left behind following her death in March.
In a statement yesterday, Al-Alfia Holdings said one of the buildings is a 38-story tower in the Marina district of Lusail.
Destined to become a 200-room hotel and 120 apartments, the design was inspired by the shape of the desert hyacinth, which grows in the dunes and along the coastlines of the Gulf.
