His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, performed the Eid al-Adha prayer with his loyal people in the Al-Wajbah prayer hall this morning.
His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the personal representative of the Emir, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, and His Excellency Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani participated in the prayer.
Also participating in the prayer was His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, His Excellency Sayyid Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council, and a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and Ministers, members of the Shura Council, Their Excellencies the Ambassadors and the citizens.
Dr. Thaqil bin Sayer Al-Shammari, judge of the Court of Cassation, member of the Supreme Judicial Council, who led the worshipers, delivered the Eid sermon in which he explained that Eid is a manifestation of the nation’s unity, and it is a day of giving, giving, piety and loyalty, and one of God’s rituals, and it is the greatest of days with God. Explaining his virtue the ruling on the sacrifice and drawing close to God with it on this day in which the feelings of Muslims are united.
