An official source in the Organizing Committee for the National Day celebrations explained that Darb Al-Saai witnessed a great turnout yesterday evening from citizens, residents and guests of the World Cup, as the number of visitors is estimated at about 40,000 people who learned about the heritage and cultural events.

His Excellency also learned about the kindergarten activity held this year, which was divided into 4 wild sections that contain wild trees and plants, and the other sections contain the Arabian oryx, reem gazelles, ostriches, houbara bustards and rabbits. Horse riding.. an entertainment activity that attracted children

The National Day 2022 activities continue in Darb Al-Saai in Umm Salal region for the sixth day in a row, under the slogan “Our Unity is the Source of Our Strength,” amid a large crowd of citizens, residents, guests of the State of Qatar, and World Cup fans.

In the Al-Shaqab area of ​​Darb Al-Saai, children line up daily to enjoy horseback riding and watch the distinguished performances presented by the cavalry.

Amidst a distinctive heritage atmosphere, parents are keen to encourage their children to ride horses and take memorial photos of them, as this has many benefits on their personalities, in addition to being a special occasion to enhance their knowledge of the authentic Qatari heritage.

Ahmed Al-Hamidi, event official, said that horse riding is an entertainment activity for children, but at the same time it brings many benefits to them, including teaching them how to deal with horses and the correct way to ride them, as well as providing them with information about their sizes, types, ages, and nutrition.

Fahd Al-Dossary said that he came with his children to teach them horse riding because of its many benefits, pointing out that this event, along with camel riding and shooting, develops their mental, personal and scientific capabilities, and all of this coincides with hosting the World Cup, and these celebrations and events that spread throughout the country represent an experience Exceptional for adults and children.

In turn, Umm Amer said that the horse-riding event is very popular with her children, as they ask for it and race to enjoy it, and what increases this fun is the distinguished organization of the event and the keenness of those in charge of it for the safety of children and teaching them to ride horses in the correct way, and therefore we as parents urge our children to try it for what is for that. Sadu and traditional clothes attract visitors

“Al-Sadu” is one of the traditional traditional crafts that have a history among the people of Qatar, as it is included in many products used in the daily life of citizens, and the materials used in it are wool, animal hair, and hair of sheep, goats, and camels. Therefore, it was necessary for this craft to receive attention from the organizing committee for the celebrations The National Day so that she is present within Darb Al-Saai activities, in order to introduce young people to that craft that grandparents value and women take care of in particular and are keen to learn and teach it to their children.

It is one of the ancient Bedouin crafts associated with women, as the homes of Qataris are decorated with Sadu products in various shapes and colors, and women compete in Sadu products in order to prepare distinctive pieces, and they use traditional tools such as spindles.

Here, Umm Saeed, the owner of the Heritage and Sadu store in Darb Al-Saai, says that “Sadu” products are used in many things related to homes and councils, such as mattresses and pillow covers, in addition to the pieces that are placed on the walls to give the place a distinctive heritage character. The bags, with the well-known and distinctive Sadu patterns, explaining that they make products from the original old wool.

Umm Saeed said that there is a great demand for Al-Sadu products among visitors to Darb Al-Saai, which confirms the extent of the link between citizens and their heritage, as everyone is keen to decorate Al-Sadu products in homes and councils.

The Organizing Committee for the National Day celebrations also provided the opportunity for productive families who produce traditional traditional clothes to display their products in Darb Al-Saai in the market area, which are clothes that were designed in the manner of old clothes, whether for adults or children, but in modern forms.

These outlets in the market area witness a large number of families who are keen to buy this type of clothing.

For her part, Umm Mubaraka, one of the women who has an outlet selling traditional clothes in Darb Al-Saai, said that among the clothes offered for her is the Qatari dress for children, which are new designs, as well as clothes for adult women, all of which are in old traditional shapes, considering that Darb Al-Saai is an opportunity for them to In order to display their products, especially since the whole place is full of heritage, whether in the events presented or even in the areas of the shops.

Darb Al-Saai succeeded in navigating its visitors to the Arabian Gulf… and carrying them on traditional diving ships amidst the roaring sea and its waves… and divers’ chants as they sailed from one place to another in search of pearls and sea treasures from the riches that the Arabian Gulf region was famous for.

The sections of popular food, traditional dishes, and Qatari sweets in Darb Al-Saai attracted families and communities from different cultures. The dishes of Makbous, Harees, Asida, Luqaimat, Harid, Madrooba, Marqoqa, and Riqaq bread won the admiration of all visitors to the events. Moeed Al-Qahtani: 150 volunteers in Darb Al-Saai

About 150 volunteers from the Qatar Voluntary Center are participating in Darb Al-Saai this year, which was keen to provide a group of accredited volunteers who have been trained and qualified to manage such events and have previously participated in them.

Moeed Al-Qahtani, Director of the Qatar Voluntary Center, confirmed the center’s keenness to extend the Al-Saai Trail with a large group of volunteers of both sexes, numbering 150 volunteers, pointing out that the demand for volunteering in the Al-Saai Trail was great, as the number of volunteer requests reached nearly 2000 volunteers, indicating that there are certain criteria. To select volunteers based on the goal of the event and its message of Qatari culture and national identity, including that the volunteer be of Qatari nationality or born in Qatar, and is 16 years of age or older.
