The Council also approved – according to the Qatar News Agency – a draft decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the incentives, facilities and privileges granted under the Law of Saudization of jobs in the private sector.
According to the council’s statement, the draft law was prepared with the aim of nationalizing jobs in the private sector, to support optimal investment in the national workforce.
Qatarization in the private sector
According to the provisions of the draft, a decision by the Council of Ministers, based on a proposal by the Minister of Labor, determines the jobs in which appointment is limited to citizens in each of the work sectors, in light of the Emiratisation plans and the Emiratisation percentages in each of them.
It also determines, by a decision of the Council of Ministers, based on the Minister’s proposal, the incentives that may be granted to entities subject to the provisions of this law, the facilities and privileges that may be granted to entities that are committed to Emiratization rates, and the financial incentives that may be granted to Qatari workers in those entities.
