The top destination city by international visitor arrivals in 2013 is Bangkok, according to the MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index. This is the first time an Asian city is in the top rank since the Index was launched in 2011.

Until one has eaten on a Bangkok street, the noodles mingling with sweat, and one’s senses dulled by chilly, exhaust and noise, one has not actually eaten real Thai food. The language sometime becomes a barrier, but it never prevents people from loving the Thai populace.
