Color Run makes Doha debut
The Color Run, the original 5-kilometre colour powder race, enjoyed a huge turnout on its Doha debut at the Qatar National Convention Centre. With the help of Sahtak Awalan: Your Health First – the health campaign by Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q), the event saw participants of all ages and abilities taking part in the run.
Following a warm up from Reebok’s internationally famed ‘Les Mills Master Trainers, Color Runners dressed in white were led across the starting line by a colour-splattered Nissan X-Trail before running, walking and dancing their way around. More than 180 volunteers were on hand to shower participants in vibrant coloured powder at one kilometre intervals around the course.
