After rainy day, some Doha streets flooded
Heavy rainfall accompanied by thundershowers intermittently lashed Qatar on Wednesday, causing severe waterlogging on roads and inconvenience to office-goers and schoolchildren.
The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) said the prevailing weather condition is expected to continue for a few more days, until the beginning of next week.
The rain caused long traffic snarls on major arterial roads such as Doha Expressway, C Ring Road, Al Corniche area.
According to Ministry of Interior (MoI) tweets, there was a heavy traffic jam on the February 22 Road owing to an accident involving several vehicles. Traffic patrols are on the site, it said.
