Riyadh, November 15 (QNA) – GCC Ministers of Defence held their 15th session here today, chaired by Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence.

Qatar’s delegation to the meeting was headed by HE Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.

Addressing the meeting, Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, confirmed that everybody in the GCC zone is gearing forward to see the march of the member states of the group pushed forward, noting that the military and defense field is considered one of the most important ones amid the current challenges facing the region.

He added that the current circumstances necessitate for all of us to work in a decisive, dedicated and prompt way to benefit from our previous lessons in confronting the situation.

He said he is looking forward to see a thorough discussion of all topics on the agenda that would put the GCC countries on a launching platform to an open horizon of successes.

He also expressed hope that the outcome of Camp David meeting which included enhancement of military and security strategic partnership with the United States of America would achieve the stability of the Gulf region.(QNA)
