Montreal: Minister of Public Health, HE Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, met with Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Stephane Dion, on the sidelines of the Fifth Replenishment Conference of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Montreal, Quebec.
Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and topics being discussed during the conference in addition to a number of issues of common interest, especially in the health sector.
Dr. Al Kuwari also met with a number of senior officials from the McGill University For Cancer and the Children’s Hospital in Canada in the presence of Qatar’s Ambassador to Canada, HE Fahad Mohammed Yusuf Kafoud.
She also met separately with the Executive Director of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and Chairman of the Certificates Attesting Authority .
Aspects of cooperation in various health areas were discussed during the meetings.
