Heavy snow on its way for parts of the north
The Swedish weather service issued a class-2 warning for heavy snowfall beginning Tuesday and continuing into Wednesday morning for counties in northern Sweden.
The eastern parts of Jämtland outside of the mountains, all of Västernorrland’s county, and Västerbotten’s county along the coast could expect anywhere from 10 to 30 cm of snow as well as heavy winds.
“It’s a lot of snow in a short amount of time. There could be problems with road traffic,” Mattias Lind a meteorologist with the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) told Swedish Radio.
