HE Prime Minister Attends Electric Energy Conference
Doha, February 22 (QNA) – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani attended today the opening of electric energy and water desalination in Arab countries conference. The two-day event took place in Saint Regis Doha.
HE Minister of Energy and Industry gave a speech at the opening ceremony. During it he said that the State of Qatar believes in human capital as the focus of development. His Excellency added that the State of Qatar believes that joint Arab work is the way forward for developing the Arab individual.
HE the Minister then discussed the importance of investing in electricity infrastructure to boost development. His Excellency noted that the State of Qatar is set to invest in improving its smart electricity grid, in order to absorb energy from several clean sources. Furthermore, HE the Minister said that the country under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani achieved a 100% access to electricity several years ago.
