Qatar condemns the Kandahar attack and shooting in Moscow

The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the shooting incident that occurred in the Russian capital, Moscow, and led to dozens of deaths and injuries. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons. The Ministry expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and the government and people of Russia, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded. The State of Qatar also expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the bombing that occurred in Kandahar Province, southern Afghanistan, and led to deaths and injuries.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons.
The Ministry expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Afghanistan, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded.
The death toll from the attack that took place in the city of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan has risen to 21 people. The Afghan Tolo News channel quoted Asadullah Jamshid, spokesman for the Kandahar Provincial Police Command, as saying that a suicide attack occurred near a bank, killing civilians and wounding others, according to a preliminary toll.
It is noteworthy that on January 11, two people were killed and 12 others were injured in an explosion that occurred west of the Afghan capital, Kabul, in the third incident of its kind that the city had witnessed in less than a week.
