Qatar’s pavilion at the ongoing International Horticultural Exhibition in Beijing (Expo 2019) will host a symbolic celebration of Qatar National Day tomorrow in co-operation with the entities concerned at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) and the Qatari embassy in China.
Officials from both Qatar and China are expected to take part in the event, according to a statement by the MME.
The National Day celebrations will include a speech by Qatar’s ambassador to China, an artistic presentation on Qatari folklore and heritage, and a short film on Qatar’s past and present.
The logo for Expo 2021, which is to be held in Doha, will also be launched during the event.
The MME said that about 1.54mn people have visited the pavilion between April 29, when the event began, and August 27. The expo concludes on October 7.
