Exercise Khaan Quest 2019 kicked off on Wednesday in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar in the presence of President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga. The exercise will continue until June 28.
The Qatari Armed Forces are participating in the exercise alongside forces from 47 other countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training HE Major-General Hamad Ahmed al Nuaimi and Brigadier-General Mohammad al Thawadi from the Qatari Armed Forces.
The ceremony was also attended by Commander of US Indo-Pacific Command Navy Admiral Phil Davidson, Minister of Defence of Mongolia Ganbat A and a number of senior officers and guests from other countries.
The important exercise aims to prepare participating officers and personnel for peacekeeping operations. (QNA)
