Intensive preparations are under way at Qatar National Theatre for an event highlighting Qatari songs, which will be held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali on Friday night.
The event is being held under the supervision of the Centre of Music Affairs at the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and will see the participation of renowned Qatari singers, musicians and songwriters.
The final rehearsal will be held tomorrow evening featuring all the participants and a band led by Iraqi musician Ali Khassaf and accompanied by international pianist Sonja Park and 50 skilled musicians from around the world. The Qatari singers who will perform include Ali Abdul Sattar, Fahad al-Kubaisi, Mansour al-Mohannadi, Saad al-Fahd, Issa al-Kubaisi, Assil Hamim, Mohamed al-Jabir and Nasser al-Kubaisi.
