Qatar Museums Chairperson H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has urged citizens and residents to participate in building the content of the Qatar National Museum.
In a post on social media titled “Let’s make history together,” Sheikha Al Mayassa said that people can contribute with documents or collectibles that are part of Qatar’s memory and history, which can be preserved in the museum.
“The Qatar National Museum will tell the story and history of Qatar in all its aspects and celebrate the rich heritage of the country. It provides a ‘majlis’ where children can meet and listen to voices of their elders,” the text in Arabic said.
“And it will establish a continuous dialogue between generations inspired by the wisdom of the past and looking forward to the future,” the message added.
“I have the honour to invite all citizens and residents to participate in building the content of the Qatar National Museum with their documents or collectibles that are part of Qatar’s memory and history to be preserved in the museum”
