Supernet investments over $1 bn : Ooredoo
Ooredoo has invested more than $1 billion in the last two years to build Supernet network in Qatar, its CEO in Qatar said on Monday.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the launch of Ooredoo TV in Doha, Waleed al Sayed said the Supernet network built around fibre network and 4G+ speed across the country has placed Qatar among the top three Internet speed providing countries in the world.
Qatar is witnessing around 12 percent growth in the telecom sector for the last couple of years, he said, adding that the increase in the country’s population will further spur telecom growth in the country.
