A statement reported by Reuters said, “Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani confirms that he has submitted an offer to acquire Manchester United Football Club by 100%.”

The statement did not clarify any details of the amount proposed to the Red Devils, but it could reach a record amount of 6 billion euros, according to the media.

And Sheikh Jassim – who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of a Qatari bank – confirmed that the offer includes a plan to restore the club to its former glory on and off the field and will seek to put the masses in the heart of Manchester United again – according to what was reported by the Financial Times.

“The offer will be without resorting to any loans and will seek to invest in the club’s football teams, training centre, stadium and wider infrastructure,” he added.
