Xavi joins Al Sadd’s training camp in Austria
DOHA – Spanish superstar and former Barcelona captain Xavi started training with Al Sadd Club team at Kaprun in Austria on Sunday, sparking a great deal of excitement in the camp.
Xavi had arrived at the team hotel earlier on and Sunday’s was the first opportunity for him to link up with his new teammates during the second phase of the pre-season training tour, which runs until August 9.
According to the club’s website, the presence of the Barca legend spiced up the atmosphere, especially for his young teammates who will be looking to benefit from his influence and experience in the coming season.
The training session saw the coaching staff put the players through their paces so that they are ready for the gruelling new season which begins in September.
