Yemeni president slips Houthi house arrest

Yemeni President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi left the capital Sanaa for Aden on Saturday following weeks of house arrest imposed by Houthi militants since he submitted his resignation in January, the Al Arabiya News channel reported.

Members of the country’s Houthi militia then stormed his residence, which they had been sieging for weeks.

He arrived to his home in the Khor Mekassar area in Aden later that day.
