Doha ranks poorly in annual expat quality of life index
Qatar’s capital has ranked 110th out of 220 cities across the world in an annual survey by human resources consulting firm Mercer. The index assesses the quality of life in major cities by looking at factors such as a city’s political and social environment, medical care and health considerations.
Doha is down two spots from 2015, and Dubai (75th) and Abu Dhabi (81st) also slipped slightly in this year’s ranking, something Mercer said is due to the challenges that come with a rapid increase in population.
