HH the Emir Meets Russian President
Moscow, January 18 (QNA) – HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Monday met at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
At the outset of the meeting, the Russian president welcomed HH the Emir and expressed his ambition to exert more efforts to enhance bilateral ties between the two countries, pointing to the pressing need to talk and coordinate in the field of energy, particularly gas as well as investment cooperation. He also expressed his hope to reach settlements for crises in the region.
For his part, HH the Emir voiced his pleasure at the visit and his gratitude to President Putin and the Russian government and people for the hospitality, highlighting the mutual coordination between the two countries in the past years and hoping that it would constitute a strong basis for moving towards a more progressive phase than before.
