His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, witnessed the final football match for the “2024 Emir Cup” between the teams of Al-Sadd Club and Qatar Club, which was held at Education City Stadium, yesterday evening.
The match was witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Personal Representative of the Emir, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, His Excellency Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani, and a number of Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.
It was also witnessed by His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, a number of presidents of Arab and international sports federations, members of the press and media, and an audience of those interested in football. The match ended with Al Sadd Club defeating Qatar Club 1-0.
After that, His Highness the Emir handed over the cup and gold medals to the Al Sadd Club team, while His Highness handed over the silver medals to the Qatar Club team.
