Italian minister visits SC to see Qatar’s preparations for FIFA World Cup 2022
FOUR-TIME FIFA World Cup winning nation Italy is looking to contribute further expertise to Qatar’s preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, according to the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy’s website.
The Italian Minister of Economic Development Federica Guidi accompanied by a trade delegation recently visited the offices of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) in Doha and also held a meeting with the SC Secretary-General Hassan al Thawadi.
During the meeting the visiting delegation from Italy were given a progress update on the proposed host venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar’99, including the Al Bayt Stadium Al Khor City, which has an Italian company as a main contractor in a joint venture.
