HMC Opens Expanded Pediatric Emergency Center in Al Sadd
HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani Prime Minister and Minister of Interior officially opened Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) newly completed expansion of its Pediatric Emergency Center (PEC) in Al Sadd on 15 December 2015.
the centre grow by 25 percent with an extra 22 new beds distributed on 13 treatment rooms, six triage rooms, an emergency procedure room and an isolation unit, bringing the total number of beds in the facility to 86. An extra 30 nurses have been hired for a total of 216 nurses and 65 doctors; charged with evaluating and treating the emergency needs of children.
This main PEC in Al Sadd and its satellite stations are geared towards providing highly specialized, quality emergency services to pediatric patients seeking immediate care across Qatar.
