Qatar Airways has warned the public to not fall for fake ticket offers from phishing sites that maybe targeting users to compromise personal information.
The airline said that public are receiving links “where it falsely states that they can book travel tickets as part of an anniversary promotion, or receive two tickets for 1 Euro.”
These false offers come from links which will look very similar to Qatar Airways website with some small difference.
Any such unreasonable offer should alert the user of its genuineness and always check the source of all these offers and promotions carefully. Social media is minefield of such postings and in The Peninsula we had published many such phishing scams.
The airline said that “such links can compromise your personal information.”
