Qatar Tourism praised the initiative of “Investment Holding Company” by providing discounts to retirees who deal with the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority. Investment Holding Company has launched a program for retirees’ discounts in appreciation and support for their constructive efforts in serving the State of Qatar.
The program offers beneficiaries a range of discounts and promotions in a group of hospitality and entertainment venues affiliated with “Istithmar Holding Company”. This program falls within the framework of ongoing efforts to care for retirees and improve the services provided to them in all sectors of the country.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, President of Qatar Tourism, said: “Qatar Tourism praises the discount program offered to retirees launched by the Investment Holding Company.” This program is comprehensive and covers a large network of restaurants, hotels and leisure resorts, as well as discounts and promotional packages offered to the whole family.
These programs reflect the appreciation given to retirees and their dedicated service to the country. Qatar Tourism would like to take this opportunity to invite and encourage all companies and entities from the private sector to take the same step.”

His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi, Director General of the General Retirement and Social Security Authority, “Istithmar Holding,” thanked them, praising their initiative and their effort to return the favor to retirees, and stressing the Authority’s keenness to dedicate its institutional and community initiatives and partnerships to the benefit of retirees, and to seek through them to build bridges of communication with various parties interested in their affairs. Once again, we welcome national companies and institutions wishing to support retirees by joining the program based on their social responsibility.

For his part, Engineer Mohammed bin Badr Al-Sada, CEO of Istithmar Holding Group, expressed: “This step comes in response to Qatar Tourism’s call on national companies and institutions to honor retirees and within the framework of Istithmar Holding’s vision to enhance its social responsibility. We are honored to launch this program to serve and honor retirees and express our sincere appreciation for their dedication and giving. We at Investment Holding place these initiatives at the heart of our interest as a national company and we are happy to cooperate with all state bodies to achieve the best for Qatar and its people.”
The list of hotels that retirees can benefit from includes: Katara Hills, Maysan Resort, DoubleTree Downtown, and Al Rayyan Curio. As for the restaurants and cafes covered by the program, but not limited to them, they are: Shazly, Osta, Basta, L&N, Qahwatna, and Karaki Lounge. Retirees can also benefit from entertainment destinations for themselves and their families, such as Lusail Winter Wonderland on Al Maha Island.
It is noteworthy that in 2016, the General Retirement and Social Security Authority launched a program for exclusive discounts for retirees, which included 70 companies at the time, and was especially welcomed by the community as the first of its kind to provide special benefits and offers for retirees. The program now includes companies from various fields, such as communications, restaurants, hotels, and medical services, in addition to many major sectors, numbering more than 400 companies.
