Sheikh Joaan new QOC President
His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al Thani has been elected the president of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) at its General Assembly, held in Doha on Thursday. Sheikh Joaan will serve a term that runs until the end of the 2016 Olympic Games. He is the sixth president of the QOC since its foundation in 1979.
