The State of Qatar received the twelfth batch of wounded Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, in preparation for their treatment in Doha, as part of the initiative of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to treat 1,500 Palestinians from the Strip.

In this context, Her Excellency Mrs. Lulwah bint Rashid Al Khater, Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: “It is no secret that the difficult circumstances that the Palestinian brothers are living in as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and its Deliberate targeting of the health infrastructure in the Strip, which led to… “To the almost complete paralysis of hospitals and health facilities there.”

Her Excellency added in a special statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA): There are many logistical difficulties facing the process of transporting the wounded Palestinians, but they are overcoming in cooperation with our brothers, whether from within the Gaza Strip, such as the Palestinian Red Crescent and the Palestinian Ministry of Health, or through the Red Crescent. Egyptian, in addition to the efforts made by the Qatari Ministry of Health, the Qatar Red Crescent, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Her Excellency confirmed that the biggest challenge facing the process of transporting wounded Palestinians to receive treatment outside the Gaza Strip lies in the delay in issuing security permits, explaining that work is being done to overcome this through cooperation with our brothers in the Arab Republic of Egypt . His Excellency the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed her thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the Qatari Armed Forces in transporting wounded Palestinians to receive treatment in Doha.

Her Excellency referred to cooperation and coordination with the Italian and French sides with the aim of alleviating the catastrophic humanitarian situation resulting from the war in Gaza, especially in the health and relief fields, and both countries have two floating hospitals in the Egyptian port of Al. -Arish, pointing out that the Italian hospital completed its mission last Wednesday, and is carrying crews on board. A Qatari medical doctor accompanies wounded Palestinians on their trip to the Italian capital, Rome.

At the conclusion of her statement to QNA, Her Excellency Mrs. Lulwah bint Rashid Al Khater said: “We are looking forward to further cooperation with many countries to remove the largest possible number of wounded Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to provide them with appropriate treatment.” It is worth noting that this initiative comes within the framework of the State of Qatar’s steadfast support for the brotherly Palestinian people, especially in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions they are currently exposed to.
