It was launched this morning under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Minister of Trade and Industry, and His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber, a conference on developing partnership between the public and private sectors, with the participation of more than 15 local and international speakers.
The Minister of Trade and Industry said during his opening speech: The Partnership Law is an additional building block in the edifice of the complementary relationship between the public and private sectors, and Qatar preceded the countries of the region in establishing an integrated strategy to support the private sector during the Corona pandemic.
His Excellency added, “Qatar adopted the experience of partnership between the two sectors several years ago, especially in the field of implementing logistics projects, food security, health and education, and the law provides a regulatory framework for formulating the contractual relationship between the two parties.”
His Excellency explained, “Partnership projects contribute to raising the efficiency and sustainability of government infrastructures and services, rationalizing public budget expenditures, achieving optimal investment of resources and enhancing competitiveness, and enabling government agencies to adopt a new vision for managing national projects.”
