Two Swedes held hostage in Syria have been released and reunited with their families with the help of Palestinian and Jordanian authorities, news agency TT reports.

The men were freed on Friday though it was unclear how long they had been kept hostage and whereabouts in Syria. TT reports that the men were kidnapped by the Nusra Front, an Islamist group in Syria with links to Al-Qaeda.
